This was supposed to be Charlie Constable‘s breakout year.
But unfortunately for the young Cat all he‘s managed to break is a few front teeth.
Constable was involved in a gruesome collision with teammate Josh Jenkins during a scratch match on Monday.
The pair clashed heads which resulted in Constable’s two front teeth being snapped with one lodging in the head of Jenkins.
Photos captured show a piece of tooth flying the air after the clash.
The midfielder also bit down on his tongue, resulting in stitches being applied to it on the sidelines at the training oval in the shadows of Metricon Stadium.
Constable has since had caps put in to replace his teeth. It was the second time he has copped a serious head knock this season after he was knocked out against West Coast in Round 9.
Former Adelaide big man Jenkins also had to get stitches into his head following the incident.
