The report stated she was disillusioned no action had been taken against Lyon. She left the club as a result of the issue.
The club’s inaugural vice-captain and former St Kilda coach Scott Watters said on Sunday “you cannot be proud of what’s going on at Fremantle at the moment”.
Asked by the Herald Sun on Sunday to comment about the latest revelations after his side’s loss to Richmond, Lyon said he was not allowed to.
“The matter was raised during the week; I was asked on Channel 7 news and at my midweek presser so I feel I have stood up,” he said.
“To the extent anyone in the AFL has any knowledge of the matter, we all sit under the banner of the respect and responsibility policy.
“And no one is in a position to comment any further.
“I understand the inquiry and your guys’ test is public interest and clearly people see that it’s in the public interest and that’s not for me to judge.

“I don’t create the system, I am part of the system. I respect the system and that’s what I can say.”
Asked if the respect and responsibility system was working given the complainant still seemed aggrieved, Lyon refused to discuss its workings.
Watters told Nine on Sunday he was disappointed in the veil of secrecy and the way Fremantle had handled the payment to the employee.
“They need to be transparent with their supporters and they need to get out and decide what sort of club they want to be,” Watters said.
“What’s happened over the last couple of weeks is not acceptable for supporters of that football club.”
