AS Nathan Buckley preached the mantra he has had to make his own in 2018, as the leader of the injury ravaged the Magpies, champion midfielder Steele Sidebottom sat beside him, nodding his head approvingly.
“What we have is good enough, what we have is enough,” Buckley told reporters.
Yes, midfield star Adam Treloar is tracking well in his return from a hamstring injury and is a possible, but unlikely, inclusion for next Saturday’s qualifying final against West Coast.

And Jeremy Howe (corked thigh) is expected to be on the plane West next week to play his first game since Round 19.
Even veteran defender Tyson Goldsack, who is returning from an ACL injury, remains a “live chance” to feature at some stage of the finals series after getting through his VFL return at the weekend.
But Buckley and Sidebottom are happy with what they players they’ve got.
“If our side didn’t change, we would back ourselves,’ Buckley said.
“If we had no access to anyone other than the 22 that played on the weekend, we’d back ourselves to get the job done.
“If it so happens that there are one or two or three changes, or there’s forced changes through the next month, which we’d expect … we’ll just continue to approach it as we have our whole season. What we have is good enough, what we have is enough.”
Captain Scott Pendlebury is suffering from a virus and was quarantined from the club on Wednesday, but Buckley said he was in no doubt to make the trip West.
“The training session today was impressive, we’ll have some decisions to make,” Buckley said of Treloar.
“It’s in the realms of possibility that it would be Saturday week, but unlikely, but it won’t be far after that. I’m sure he’ll be pushing pretty hard.”
Jeremy McGovern tormented the Magpies across half-back the last time the teams played in Round 17 at the MCG.
But Buckley said with Mason Cox set to play this time, his side would have a different look.
“Our forward line will be different,” Buckley said.
“There’s a battle of wills there a little bit. Our forward line will be different so how are they going to play us?
“Not just how are we going to play them.”
