JACK Crisp is free to make his Collingwood debut against former club Brisbane Lions on Saturday after escaping suspension for betting on AFL outcomes.
The 21-year-old was yesterday fined $5000 and ordered to undergo counselling for placing a $129 bet while at the Gabba.
The league said Crisp’s full co-operation in the investigation aided his light sanction.
Former Magpie Heath Shaw was suspended for eight matches and fined $20,000 in 2011 for sharing inside information with friends and family.
Midfielder Crisp’s move to the Pies helped broker the Dayne Beams trade and he is expected to win selection against the Lions in Round 1.
An AFL score review official has been wiped out of the 2015 season after 62 AFL bets totalling $362 were placed from his account.

The league’s review found he permitted another person to use his betting account, who placed the AFL bets without his knowledge.
AFL legal counsel Andrew Dillon said five other club employees with minor positions were given a first and final warning for betting rule breaches.
