AFL won’t sanction Jordan De Goey after he appeared to grope teammate Isaac Quaynor, pre-game
The AFL has made its call after Jordan De Goey grabbed teammate Isaac Quaynor on the behind and has issued a warning to clubs.

The AFL has decided against any further action against Jordan De Goey despite the Magpie forward groping a teammate in a Collingwood huddle on Saturday night.
The action was labelled unacceptable by Essendon star Matthew Lloyd, with a number of ex-players wondering why De Goey would distract a teammate while Buckley was speaking to the group and coaching for his career.

But the league, which was upset on Sunday with Collingwood’s dismissive attitude of the incident in a Saturday night statement, did not ask for a please explain or censure De Goey.
Last year AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan was so enraged by similar actions every AFL club was briefed about creating a culture to stamp out such incidents.
On Monday night the league warned clubs and players to be mindful of their actions at all times.
Collingwood on Saturday said: “neither the players nor the club believe inappropriate behaviour has occurred”.
The AFL is keen to create a more inclusive culture for players of all races after former Sun Joel Wilkinson lodged a Human Rights Commission complaint.
In his submission he specifically complained about sexual harassment from teammates at Gold Coast.
He said players such as Mabior Chol, groped by Richmond teammates last year, would not feel comfortable speaking up about their experiences.
Collingwood continues to work on its response to the Do Better report after Heritier Lumumba complained about racism at the club.
McLachlan said last year clubs needed to do better after a series of groping incidents.
“It is important we work together to ensure our entire industry is really clear about the standards we must set in order to deliver the safest environment possible for everyone working in our game,” he said.
“We already have policies in place but where there is scope to improve them, we will improve them.”
