CARLTON is poised to trade star midfielder Bryce Gibbs to Adelaide in exchange for two high draft picks.
Adelaide is happy to give its No.13 pick to Carlton but negotiations in recent days have focused on what else the Crows could add as a sweeter to get the deal over the line.
A number of players including Charlie Cameron, Mitch McGovern and Brad Crouch have been rejected at various times by both parties.

But what could clinch Gibbs’ move is the Crows handing Carlton another high pick from next year’s draft.
It means Carlton could receive two first-round picks from Adelaide — from this year and next year's drafts — while in return give Adelaide a second round selection in the 2017 draft.
That deal would be very similar to the one Collingwood struck with Greater Western Sydney to secure Adam Treloar last year.
Also being discussed is Adelaide giving up its first-round pick and a future second-round pick.
However, if Adelaide finished top four in 2017 that pick could be a selection in the late 30s.
Regardless, both parties have made significant progress in recent days and Gibbs is confident an agreement will be reached that will allow him, his partner and child to be closer to family and friends in South Australia next year.
Carlton’s next move is to land a senior midfielder to replace Gibbs. It has strong interest in Geelong’s Billie Smedts.
