AFL fans say Brendon Bolton ‘can’t be a scapegoat’ for Carlton’s struggles

AFL fans have reacted to Brendon Bolton’s sacking, declaring the former Carlton coach should not be made a scapegoat for the battling club’s continued struggles.

Social media went into meltdown after Carlton today announced it had sacked coach Brendon Bolton 11 rounds into the fourth year of his tenure.

On a day which started with rumblings of change at Ikon Park, Bolton fronted the media about 2.15pm after his axing was announced to players and other staff.
