Carlton has gone on a post-season re-signing spree, locking away 10 players including former captain Marc Murphy for one more year with Ed Curnow and Levi Casboult also set to play on at the Blues for 2021.
Defender Lachie Plowman has signed for three years, Caleb Marchbank for two and Nic Newman for one.
Michael Gibbons has earned a promotion to the senior list for the 2021 season, while first-round draft pick Sam Philp, Josh Honey and Matthew Cottrell earned new deals.
Murphy, 33, will play on into a 16th season and most likely pass the 300 game mark, while Curnow should play his 200th match in 2021.

“There is enormous belief across our entire football club in the direction we are heading, and today’s announcement is further proof of that,” Carlton list manager Nick Austin said.
“Murph has been a class player and leader for this football club for well over a decade. For where our list is currently at, it is invaluable to have someone of Murph’s experience, professionalism and knowledge of what it takes to earn a long career at the elite level.
“Levi has worked incredibly hard to get to where he has, and he’s earned every bit of that through sheer hard work. In addition to being an important player for us on-field, Levi is a great person and much loved by his teammates, staff and also our members and supporters.”
Murphy said was as motivated as ever for 2021.
“The level of motivation I’ve got to earn success with this group is as strong as it has ever been during my 14 years here,” Murphy said.
“The competitiveness, hunger and drive we have to push each other to get better gives me all the determination I need to continue to give everything I have to this footy club.
“Since arriving at Carlton in 2005 I’ve experienced a lot alongside our members and supporters. There’s been some great times, some challenging times and now there is genuine reason for every Carlton person to be excited in the direction we are heading.”
