COLLINGWOOD has brought in five new faces ahead of its trip to Perth.
The Magpies have named father-son gun Callum Brown for a possible AFL debut as well as Mason Cox, Ben Crocker, Jackson Ramsay and Henry Schade. Alex Fasolo (illness) and Jarryd Blair (omitted) are the only two outs at this stage. Aaron Sandilands is a key inclusion after the ruckman missed the 100-point loss to Adelaide last week with Ed Langdon, Tom Sheridan and Luke Ryan on an extended bench. Ryan, a mature-age recruit from the VFL in last year’s draft, has overcome injury to star at Peel and would add to Fremante’s run off half-back. Geelong has made two changes for Friday night’s blockbuster against Adelaide. Key defender Tom Lonergan and half-forward Nakia Cockatoo return at the expense of Jed Bews and Jordan Cunico. The Crows are unchanged after disposing of the Dockers last week. Richmond has gone small for it’s clash against an unchanged North Melbourne. Small forward Dan Butler comes in, adding to an attack already featuring Dan Rioli, Jason Castagna, Shai Bolton and Sam Lloyd. Todd Elton is out. After disappointing losses Gold Coast and West Coast have swung the axe. Star midfielders Gary Ablett and Matt Rosa come in for young Suns Brayden Fiorini and Brad Scheer. Spearhead Josh Kennedy is a big out for the Eagles who regain Mark LeCras, Luke Shuey and Eric Mackenzie for the trip to Metricon Stadium. Finally, Essendon has been dealt a big blow ahead of its trip to Spotless Stadium for a clash against GWS with Darcy Parish, James Kelly and Matt Dea all out Ben Howlett, Brent Stanton and Marty Gleeson in as the Giants regain Tom Scully at the expense of Tim Mohr.
