Crows star Eddie Betts said that the Adelaide Football Club was looking to host the AFLW preliminary final after the Crows season opener against Hawthorn at Adelaide Oval on Saturday.
The Crows versus Hawthorn clash starts at 4.05pm Adelaide time and it’s believed the women’s game could follow around 7pm.
“We need the girls to win against Melbourne,’’ Betts said.
“If they win against Melbourne this week, they get a home prelim(inary).
“They are working on it now.
“They want them to start after at 7pm, we need the girls to win, it will be fantastic for them to play at Adelaide Oval with a packed out house,’’ he said.
Betts said he was eagerly awaiting the 2019 season opener.
“I’m feeling OK, we had a great pre-season and we’re nice and healthy,’’ Betts said.
“We’re looking great at the moment.
“It’s going to be tough to pick a side, I can’t wait,’’ he said.
