Geelong midfielder Mitch Duncan admits the “writing is on the wall” when it comes to the future of teammate Tim Kelly.
Kelly is reportedly set to once again as for a trade to West Coast as he looks to return to Western Australia for family reasons.
Duncan said the 25-year-old was yet to tell his teammates what his future holds, but believes all the signs are pointing to Kelly leaving Geelong.
“If you looked at most people that leave it this long, the facts are kind of there that they usually do try to ask for a trade home,” Duncan told TAB Radio.

“He definitely hasn’t come out and said anything to the players yet.
“The writing is on the wall a little bit seeing as he has not signed a contract yet and we are just about to go into trade period.
“He has been a great servant for us, he has had two high-standard seasons for someone who has just come into the AFL.
“If he did depart, I couldn’t thank him enough, but hopefully he doesn’t and he can stick around and be a part of our next premiership.”
Kelly’s manager Anthony Van Der Wielen denied the All Australian had made up his mind.
“We won’t know for a little while,” Van Der Wielen told 6PR on Saturday.
“To be quite honest he hasn’t made a decision. As I have said for the last 18 months and particularly the past week or so, I am hopeful we will do something in the next week or two.
“Tim has some decisions to make. I have spent a fair bit of time with the family while I have been over here and I will continue to do that over the next couple of days, as I am with the Geelong Football Club.
“Once Tim has made up his mind, we will let everybody know.”
