PRICE REVEAL: CROWS, LIONS, BLUES AND PIES
Check out each club’s three players to watch in 2018 and have your say.
ESSENDON
THREE TO WATCH
Devon Smith ($439,100): Smith’s last two seasons at GWS were cruelled by injury but before that he averaged 90. Set to play a high half-forward role, which should suit his scoring.
Jake Stringer: ($356,000): After a horror year on and off the field, can a change of scenery spark the former Dog? Even in his best years he only averaged 78 and 75 (2015-16).
Michael Hurley ($563,500): The No.1 defender in the absence of Sam Docherty. Came home with a wet sail last year scoring 98-plus in eight of his last nine games.

FREMANTLE
THREE TO WATCH
Nathan Wilson ($417,300): The former Giant should slot straight into halfback and see an uptick in his SuperCoach average (75 in 2017) without Heath Shaw and Zac Williams.
David Mundy ($491,700): A new addition to the forwardline, Mundy looms as an interesting choice in 2018. Don’t expect a 100-plus average but Mundy will still be a key part of Fremantle’s midfield.
Nat Fyfe ($597,900): The Dockers skipper returned to form in 2017 but are there now better options? At just shy of $600k, we hope he can go bigger and better in 2018.

GEELONG
THREE TO WATCH
Gary Ablett ($631,100): The little master is back at Geelong but he’s far from a sure thing in SuperCoach. While Chris Scott says he’ll play in the midfield it’s hard to see him outplaying Patrick Dangerfield and Joel Selwood.
Ryan Gardner ($123,900): The young key defender is being talked about as Tom Lonergan’s replacement at fullback and looms as a crucial cash cow in defence.
Sam Menegola ($551,800): Amazingly the top-priced forward this season. However, it remains to be seen how Gary Ablett’s arrival to impact his midfield minutes.

GOLD COAST
THREE TO WATCH
Pearce Hanley ($428,000): The one-time SuperCoach stud is back in the backline but can his body hold up? His move to the Suns was not a good one, averaging 77 in 13 games.
Lachie Weller ($394,300): The Suns paid a high price so there’s a lot riding on the former Dockers’ shoulders. Can he fill the Gary Ablett shaped hole in the Suns’ midfield?
Harrison Wigg ($123,900): Sadly a pre-season injury has set him back but the former Crow still looms as one of the year’s top cash cows when he makes his AFL debut.
