ROUND 12 was easier on our SuperCoach sides with just four teams missing with the bye.

However, that didn’t mean everything was hunky dory as a few premiums put in stinkers — not ideal when top captaincy picks Patrick Dangerfield and Dustin Martin weren’t available.

But some unlikely heroes helped boost our scores.

THE TACKLE: ROBBO’S HEROES AND VILLAINS OF ROUND 12

Find out who starred and who flopped during the second bye week.

SYDNEY 88 d WESTERN BULLDOGS 42

SWANS STUDS: Isaac Heeney was at his destructive best with 31 disposals and nine score involvements for a game-high 131 points. Tom Papley produced a surprise 121 while midfield stars Luke Parker (108), Josh Kennedy (101) and Dan Hannebery (101) all fired.

SWANS DUDS: George Hewitt (47) and Harrison Marsh (48) were the only Swans not to reach 50.

BULLDOGS STUDS: Jack Macrae (123) and Caleb Daniel (115) were lone hands on a dark night for the Dogs. Luke Dahlhaus (103) also tonned up while Matthew Boyd (97) and Marcus Bontempelli (92) scraped their way to respectable scores.

BULLDOGS DUDS: After being the hero against the Swans last year, Jason Johanissen was rightfully blasted after a SCG shocker that saw him score just 21 points. Bailey Dale (32), Tim English (33) and Jake Stringer (36) also had dirty nights.

ADELAIDE 111 d ST KILDA 54

CROWS STUDS: Rory Laird had the ball on a string across half-back and his match-high 134 SuperCoach points reflected his dominance. Tom Lynch was in everything across half-forward and finished with 116 while Brodie Smith turned back the SuperCoach clock with a 114.

CROWS DUDS: Rory Sloane copped a heavy tag and was held to just 66 points, not ideal in a bye round. Riley Knight (32) and Charlie Cameron (45) surprisingly missed out on the Saints demolition.

SAINTS STUDS: Jack Billings (106), Jack Newnes (105) and Seb Ross (101) can hold their heads up high after reaching triple figures.

SAINTS DUDS: Jack Steele inexplicably played just 60 per cent of the game and thus his score was restricted to just 53 points. Six Saints failed to reach the 50-point mark with Nathan Wright (30) and Jack Carlisle (37) the worst offenders.

GOLD COAST 95 defeat HAWTHORN 79

SUNS STUDS: Gary Ablett simply loves Hawthorn. The Little Master was at his very best at the MCG on Saturday, racking up 146 points, backing up his 159 against the Hawks last year. Jarrod Witts continues to be a superb cut price ruck option with 107 while Tom Lynch rewarded those who traded him in with 103. If you’ve still got David Swallow, you’d be happy with 90.

SUNS DUDS: Jack Leslie obviously isn’t there to score SuperCoach points and finished with just 46. He had Mackenzie Willis (also 46) were the only Suns not to break 50 points.

HAWKS STUDS: Jack Gunston roared back into form with five goals and 121 points. Tom Mitchell continues to pick up disposals and SuperCoach points like they’re going out of fashion adding another 39 and 113 to his account.

HAWKS DUDS: Josh Gibson was hampered by injury, so his 28 points have mitigating factors. Kaiden Brand was also hurt as he scored just 36. James Cousins found his way into about 20,000 teams this week but could only score 40.

BRISBANE 121 defeat FREMANTLE 64

LIONS STUDS: Dayne Beams continued his scintillating form after returning from injury with a game-high 146 points. Dayne Zorko was superb across the park and rewarded his 4.3 per cent of owners with 129 points. Stef Martin bounced back from a pre-bye shocker to score 112.

LIONS DUDS: Eric Hipwood was surprisingly absent from the Docker demolition, finishing with just 35 points. He was the only Lion not to reach 50 points.

DOCKERS STUDS: Lachie Neale was a standout in a well-beaten Fremantle outfit, scoring 125, and will be a popular pick up after his bye. David Mundy and Bradley Hill both scored 100 while Michael Walters was the only other Docker over 90.

DOCKERS DUDS: Brady Grey’s day ended early with injury and just five points to his name. Shane Kersten an Cam McCarthy were extremely quiet with 16 and 21 respectively but in their defence the ball wasn’t in the Dockers’ forward line very often.

ESSENDON 131 defeat PORT ADELAIDE 61

BOMBERS STUDS: Cale Hooker put the Power to the sword with a standout performance up forward and scored a massive 140 points. Zach Merrett (135), Jobe Watson (122), Michael Hurley (118) and Dyson Heppell (114) also had days out as nine Bombers tonned up. James Stewart’s 105 was perfectly timed for the byes.

BOMBERS DUDS: David Myers (41) continues to struggle and is far from the cash cow we all hoped he would be in the pre-season. Mark Baguley (32) and Ben Howlett (47) didn’t have much to do in defence.

POWER STUDS: Justin Westhoff was the only Power player in triple figures with 133. Brad Ebert (91) was the only teammate to better 90.

POWER DUDS: A staggering seven Power players failed to reach 50. Charlie Dixon crashed back to earth with just 41 points. Brandon Ah Chee (28), Jarman Impey (31) also had shockers.

CARLTON 71 d GWS GIANTS 70

BLUES STUDS: There are some bargain defenders out there but if you want quality, go straight for No. 1 — Sam Docherty. He will cost you a packet ($604,900) but is averaging 10 more points a game than the next best backman after scoring 144 on Sunday. Matthew Kreuzer’s 132 was his fifth great score in a row — is it time to seriously consider him as a ruck option? Liam Jones scored 100 in his first game of the year but to save you time, he’s $319k.

BLUES DUDS: Alex Silvagni had just one tackle and three points before copping a leg injury. Liam Sumner was in the negatives for much of the day but rallied to score 35, three more than Tom Williamson.

GIANTS STUDS: Dylan Shiel scored one of the 120s he does every so often to make us think he could be a SuperCoach super premium — he needs a few more before we’re convinced. Lachie Whitfield and Callan Ward scored north of 110 and Toby Greene’s 103 could have been a lot more if he had kicked straighter than 0.5.

GIANTS DUDS: Just 29 from Sam Reid, Tim Taranto picked a bad week to have his worst score since Round 3 and Jeremy Cameron just made it to 50.

MELBOURNE 104 d COLLINGWOOD 100

DEMONS STUDS: No mega scores from the Dees with Nathan Jones’ 110 topping the scoresheet. Clayton Oliver’s amazing breakout season continued with 107 — his lowest score this season is 91. Dom Tyson scored a timely 101 after his trade in 2013 was back in the news. Christian Petracca scored 94 and there will be much bigger scores to come.

DEMON DUDS: Strange quiet game from Jordan Lewis with just 14 disposals (two contested) and 34 SuperCoach points — his previous lowest score this year was 78. SuperCoaches with Mitch Hannan on the field would have been hoping for more than 51.

MAGPIE STUDS: You don’t get extra points for aesthetics, if you did Jeremy Howe would have scored even more than his game-high 125. Brodie Grundy has recovered from a form slump with his 116 giving him an average of 102 over his past five. A big last quarter helped Adam Treloar to 107.

MAGPIES DUDS: Josh Smith rode the SuperCoach rollercoaster, scoring 107 a week ago and just 18 yesterday. Tom Langdon scored 41 in his comeback game and Callum Brown (52) showed a bit on debut — he’ll be on the bubble in a couple of weeks.
