The former is how our team of experts project a player’s season to unfold with their ability to score and impact your SuperCoach Draft team. The latter is how we rank them based off exposed form and other mitigating factors such as their role in their team and whether or not they are returning from a lay-off that may have them projected lower than where they’d be drafted if at full fitness.

Draft rankings ultimately come down to personal preference, but it’s important not to let your heart get in the way of your head. Sure you might be a Geelong supporter and think Gary Ablett is currently the best forward in SuperCoach but based off stats and past history, others would be ahead of him.
For instance, Greater Western Sydney’s Lachie Whitfield sits comfortably atop the forward rankings for all of our experts. Over the last two seasons, the Collingwood big man has pumped out more than 500 possessions or more for each season.

Last season he was ranked the No. 1 SuperCoach scorer and it’s with obvious reason. Grundy despite being a ruckmen, plays more like a midfielder. Not only did he have the most hit-outs to advantage in 2019, but he also ranked elite for contested possessions, clearances and score involvements. He is so dynamic, he could find himself the No. 1 pick in many SuperCoach drafts.
Our rankings will be updated twice more; once in February and once in March, which will reflect preseason form, injuries and new player projections.
