SuperCoach 2017: Top scores, best trade options after Round 9

THREE goals, nine tackles and 104 points on debut has the SuperCoach faithful clamouring for a piece of Adelaide’s Hugh Greenwood, but who else should be on your radar this week?

THE times are a changin’.

There was once a time when trading in a cash cow after just one game was widely frowned upon.

However, this year, that rule is being thrown out the window.

Last week it was Bomber forward James Stewart after a 91 and this week Hugh Greenwood is the man of the moment.

Greenwood’s stunning 104 in his AFL debut has seen more than 13,000 or 21 per cent of the competition select the Crows midfield-forward.

To be sure Greenwood looks a sound investment at just $117,300 — especially considering Stewart will set you back nigh on $170k.

The former basketballer kicked three goals and laid nine tackles and should hold his place at least until Adelaide’s bye in Round 13.

However, fate is a fickle mistress and injury could strike at any time while Josh Jenkins is waiting in the wings.

The safer move is picking Stewart or Fraser McInnes ($155k, Def-Fwd) given they are on the bubble and just tripping over the white line this weekend will see them rise in price.

Stewart and McInnes both have break-evens of -42.

Giants midfielder Daniel Lloyd ($117k) is also on the bubble with a break-even of -32 after scores of 54 and 47.

Don’t forget we’ve got three trades to play with next week as the first of the byes arrives, meaning you can bring Greenwood in and still make two trades if injuries do strike or another cash cow arrives.

Yes, we all need cash heading into the byes but take caution. Let’s not forget Ben McNeice.
