ROCKY Balboa kept getting knocked down before climbing off the canvas to claim the title. Is the Brisbane captain the SuperCoach equivalent?
To trade for Tom Rockliff or not is the hot SuperCoach topic of the week after he produced a stunning 204 points against Carlton on Saturday.

It’s the eighth time Rockliff has gathered 40 disposals in his career and his first 200-plus score.
He is one of the select AFL players who can go on massive scoring runs — last year he was battered by injuries then recovered to average 136 over the final six rounds.

Rockliff’s value against the Blues was questioned by some — he didn’t get a vote from Sam Landsberger in the Herald Sun — but the numbers were stark:
— 21 kicks, 27 handballs, eight marks and five intercepts
— 18 contested possessions — most in the game
— 13 clearances — most in the game (Carlton’s clearance king Patrick Cripps had six)
— Gained 583m, more than 100m more than the next best player
— Nine tackles — equal most in the game
— 13 score involvements (including one goal and three direct assists) — most in the game and four more than the next best player
Rockliff enjoyed his first price rise of the season last night but after gaining $37,400 he is still almost $50,000 cheaper than his Round 1 value at $500,400. His break-even of 54 means his price is headed north in a hurry.
Do we jump on?
On the ‘yes’ side of the ledger is Rockliff’s prodigious scoring potential — he has 13 scores above 150 to his name since 2011. That’s hard to ignore.
In the ‘hold on a minute’ camp is Rocky’s injury history. He has missed five games this year with calf and hamstring problems, and last season he missed seven games with rib and concussion issues.
Saturday’s score was just his second over 100 this season and his average is still 97.
It’s a classic risk v reward. Rockliff could be the ticket to a successful second half of the SuperCoach season, or another wasted trade. Which way will you go?

CHAMPION DATA MARKET WATCH
Sam Jacobs
Jacobs tallied a season-high 150 SuperCoach points against the Saints — only his second ton for the year. He won 27 hitouts from the 61 ruck contests attended, of which 13 were to the direct advantage of a teammate. He also had 24 disposals, 17 uncontested possessions, seven inside-50s and one goal.
Daniel Wells
Wells led the Kangaroos to victory on the back of a season-high 138 SuperCoach points — his highest score since Round 2. He finished with 29 disposals, 11 contested possessions, 16 handball-receives, seven tackles and three inside-50s from 78 per cent game time. He also hit the scoreboard, booting three goals straight.
David Zaharakis
Zaharakis’s price took a major hit after he could only manage 26 SuperCoach points against Fremantle, dropping by $21,700. He could only manage 11 disposals from 80 per cent game time, failing to record any marks or clearances. He had no impact on the scoreboard either and was involved in just one scoring chain.
YOUNG GUN: JARRAD JANSEN
Jansen impressed on his AFL debut against Carlton, finishing with 98 SuperCoach points from 78 per cent game time. He won 21 disposals and was excellent in the clinches, recording 13 contested possessions, including seven hardball-gets — ranked equal No. 1 for the Lions. He also recorded four clearances and five tackles and chipped in with one goal.
