GWS spearhead Jeremy Cameron looms as a genius SuperCoach buy in the coming weeks
Star giant Jeremy Cameron is injury free and has started the season with bang. With a favourable draw coming up, should we nab the Coleman Medal leader in SuperCoach? ALL THE ROUND 7 PODS
Supercoach
Don't miss out on the headlines from Supercoach. Followed categories will be added to My News.
Looking around the SuperCoach landscape, there hasn’t been a lot of originality in upgrade targets.
At this stage, Nat Fyfe (7,661 trading in), Tim Kelly (4,698) and Travis Boak (4,035) are the options that most SuperCoaches are adding to their sides.
While you can’t fault any of these players, their ownership’s within the SuperCoach community are rising, fast.

Meanwhile, there are a host of other point-of-difference (POD) possibilities that help set you apart from the rest.
Shannon Hurn and Travis Boak started the year with under 10 per cent ownership and both are in the top 10 scorers in the competition.
Check out the best unique options ahead of Round 7, headlined by the Coleman Medal leader:
DEFENCE
LUKE RYAN ($529,300)
Average: 102.2
Current Ownership: 2.7 per cent
The underrated Docker keeps on keeping on, averaging 102.2 SuperCoach points per game. Ryan has posted just one score below 91 this season and has shown his ceiling his high, registering a mammoth 156 points in Round 3. His rebounding role appears to be a safe one.
DANIEL RICH ($482,500)
Average: 102.7
Current Ownership: 5 per cent
It’s not just the kick-ins that has seen Daniel Rich flourish. The blond bombshell is in career best SuperCoach form, scoring over 97 points in all but one match in 2019. Weak opposition in the Swans and Bulldogs over the next fortnight makes his affordable price-tag seriously tempting – despite being a SuperCoach burn man in the past.
ZAK JONES ($471,600)
Average: 94.3
Current Ownership: 0.8 per cent
We are encouraged to pick midfielders in other positions where we can in SuperCoach, and tough nut Zak Jones is a selection with plenty of upside. A switch from half-back to the midfield has seen Jones thrive, averaging 26.7 disposals per game. His ball-use is a slight issue – averaging over four clangers each match – but a midfielder in defence is difficult to pass up. Also, Jones is an UberPOD, in less than one per cent of teams.
MIDFIELD
BEN CUNNINGTON ($555,300)
Average: 113.3
Current Ownership: 1.3 per cent
Is Ben Cunnington the real deal this year in SuperCoach? His scoring to date suggests he is, punching out three 110+ scores and averaging 113.3 SuperCoach points. The contested beast has little competition in the middle, ranking second in the league for clearances. Is handball happy, but so is SuperCoach gun Clayton Oliver. A POD option worth considering.
JOSH P. KENNEDY ($551,400
Average: 110.5
Current Ownership: 1.2 per cent
Many SuperCoaches thought Kennedy was past it, but he is proving his doubters wrong. This season has been a return to the JPK of old, averaging 110.5 SuperCoach points and eclipsing 94 in every game. Like Cunnington, the Swans veteran is virtually a lone hand in the coalface. Can this hot start continue?
WATCH:
JOSH KELLY ($585,700)
Average: 105.5
Current Ownership: 3.4 per cent
GWS star Josh Kelly has been in the headlines after signing a two year deal, and he should be on every SuperCoaches watchlist. The smooth-moving midfielder recorded his second SuperCoach ton in four games and is yet to fall below 95 points. Has another high break even of 128 this week, so hold off for now. A top five SuperCoach midfielder at his best.
RUCK
BEN MCEVOY ($544,400)
Average: 106.8
Current Ownership: 2.9 per cent
Those who started Ben McEvoy over Grundy or Grundy would be very pleased with his return. The 29-year-old has hit the ton in five of the first six rounds, including three scores over 110 points. Faces ruck behemoth Max Gawn over the weekend which will test him, but there is no doubt Big Boy is exceeding expectations.
FORWARD
JEREMY CAMERON ($513,500)
Average: 103.7
Current Ownership: 4.5 per cent
After playing through injury last season, Jeremy Cameron is fit and firing in 2019. The Giants spearhead is leading the Coleman Medal race with 24 goals, booting three goals or more in every game. The Giants have a favourable run over the next five matches - playing St Kilda, Hawthorn, Carlton, Melbourne and the Gold Coast – and could kick a bag in all of them. That means big SuperCoach points.
CALEB DANIEL ($486,100)
Average: 102.5
Current Ownership: 4 per cent
Caleb Daniel has been left to roam free by opposition clubs, racking up possessions at will across half-back. The 22-year-old is showing remarkable consistency, with all six of his totals falling between 93 and 120 points. Part of that is thanks to taking the kick-ins, playing on from the majority of them. Daniel is the trusted ball-user out of defence for the Bulldogs and barring a forward tag, he will continue to be among the best SuperCoach forwards.
JACK NEWNES ($449,100)
Average: 92.5
Current Ownership: 3.5 per cent
Many players would have no idea that Jack Newnes was even listed as a forward in SuperCoach, but like Daniel, he has shown tremendous consistency. Newnes has recorded 23 disposals or more in every game playing through the midfield, yielding an average of 92.5 SuperCoach points. The 26-year-old has averaged over 84.7 points in four seasons and, remarkably, has played the past 116 games straight for the Saints.
