Geelong’s big guns fire and cash cows emerge in big JLT Series win over Essendon at GMHBA Stadium

Geelong’s SuperCoach superstars fired against Essendon and the Cats could also provide a couple of key cash cows for Round 1 while a surprise Bombers put himself on the SuperCoach radar.

How to SuperCoach

Geelong’s SuperCoach superstars are flying ahead of Round 1.

SuperCoaches can pick Patrick Dangerfield ($660,500, Mid-Fwd), Joel Selwood ($570,500, Mid) and Tim Kelly ($505,800, Mid-Fwd) with absolute confidence if the win over Essendon is anything to go by.

Even mid-price gambles Luke Dahlhaus ($418,300, Mid-Fwd) and Harry Taylor ($262,800, Def) looked back to their premium days while cash cows Tom Atkins ($112,900, Mid), Jordan Clark ($144,300, Def) and Charlie Constable ($123,900, Mid) stepped up their case for Round 1 debuts.

Despite strong stats, Essendon’s scores were well down on expectations.

Dylan Shiel ($487,000, Mid) led the way with 25 disposals and seven tackles but his four frees against and seven clangers kept his score to just 81.

Jordan Ridley ($233,100, Def) continued his impressive pre-season backing up his 97 in JLT 1 with 94 points, second only to skipper Dyson Heppell’s ($551,500, Mid) 98.
