12 REASONS TO SIGN UP FOR KFC SUPERCOACH IN 2020

1. More than $100,000 in prizes

The top team every round wins $1000, while second receives $500 and third $250. Add that to the grand prize of $50,000 and there’s a prize pool of more than $100,000 up for grabs. That should provide serious incentive to do your homework and nail your starting picks.

2. The addition of prizes from KFC

In 2020, KFC has partnered with SuperCoach to bring even more fun to the best fantasy game on the planet. KFC SuperCoaches will have the chance to win weekly prizes ranging from delicious chicken to branded merchandise and a trip to experience the Fox Footy AFL Longest Kick in Melbourne. The simplest way for players to keep up with the weekly prizes and what’s on offer from KFC is to keep an eye on social media and weekly preview emails. In addition, all KFC SuperCoach players that opt in to KFC emails when registering will receive 11 per cent off their next order to celebrate the launch of the SuperCoach season.

3. Marlion Pickett’s starting price

Pickett’s Grand Final debut was one of the stories of 2019 and the beauty of SuperCoach is finals aren’t factored into starting prices. The mature-age Tiger would almost certainly have featured in the home-and-away season last year had injury not delayed his debut. Pickett scored 96 on Grand Final day yet is only $123,900. He should be your first picked.

4. Team advice from the experts

With weekly podcasts and articles from our dedicated team of SuperCoach aficionados, you won’t miss a beat. 5. Bragging rights over your mates

You can set up an 18-team or 10-team league to compete against your mates for ultimate bragging rights. League competitions feature a finals series and minor finals to decide the premiership, so you’ll have something to play for until Round 23.

6. Silver lining when your team doesn’t win

Imagine leaving the ground happy when your team has copped a walloping. It’s hard to find much solace after a heavy loss, but at least SuperCoach gives you reason to stay optimistic. If Mitchell is running amok in midfield against your club or Brodie Grundy has had 60 hit outs, their monster SuperCoach scores will help ease the pain.

7. Stay invested if your club can’t make finals

It’s hard to stay invested when your team has been knocked out of the finals race with a month left in the season. SuperCoach gives you reason to stay motivated and keep on top of results. Knowing which players are in form (and whose SuperCoach price is about to jump) can help inform your trades and overall strategy.

8. Dustin Martin being classed as a forward

SuperCoaches will have done a double take when they saw Dustin Martin listed as a FWD-MID. But yes, it’s true, the Brownlow medallist can be chosen as a forward in 2020 at $543,000. Along with GWS gun Lachie Whitfield, he’s set to be the most popular forward premium of the season.

9. Sam Docherty is back

The Carlton captain is only $436,100 in defence as he returns from two knee reconstructions. There’s risk attached with picking a player who hasn’t featured for two years, but at that price he’s impossible to ignore. Docherty averaged 108.7 in 2016 and 114.7 in 2017. His 2017 average would have ranked No. 1 among defenders last year and his 2016 average would have been fourth.

10. Compete against more than 200,000 other coaches

More than 200,000 coaches signed up for SuperCoach last year, making it Australia’s No. 1 fantasy game. If you achieve a high rank, it’s a serious tick for your football knowledge.

11. Tom Mitchell’s return

The Brownlow medallist — who averaged 129.1 points a game in 2018 — will return for Hawthorn this year with a SuperCoach discount of more than $70,000. Mitchell set a new mark for the most possessions in a season two years ago and at $630,900 will have every SuperCoach monitoring his pre-season progress closely.

12. SuperCoach Draft is better than ever

With a new look and draft system, SuperCoach Draft has never been easier to get involved in. Gather your mates and take the role of list manager for a day, picking from the game’s biggest stars. It’s a great chance to have an event involving your friends and put their draft strategies to the test.
