Every SuperCoach score from Hawthorn’s JLT Series clash with Brisbane

Brisbane could be a SuperCoach goldmine in 2019, led by a big name recruit and a host of rising stars. Meanwhile, should we be worried about James Sicily being moved to the forward line? See every score from Lions v Hawks.

Brisbane could be a SuperCoach goldmine in 2019, led by big name recruit Lachie Neale.

The former Docker put on a clinic against the Hawks to finish with a game-high 136 points.

He was joined by Rhys Mathieson, Jarryd Lyons, Cameron Rayner, Lincoln McCarthy, Hugh McCluggage and Mitch Robinson as Lions to break triple figures.

It was a different story for Hawthorn, who only had three players pass 100.

LACHIE NEALE BRISBANE $607,300 MID

New year, different club, same old Lachie Neale. In his first hitout with the Lions since leaving Fremantle, Neale dominated against the Hawks and looks like he can easily fill the void left by Dayne Beams. Neale is currently in about 16 per cent of teams but that number could be about to jump.

LINCOLN MCCARTHY BRISBANE $247,500 FWD

He never got a clear run at it at Geelong but things could be looking up for Lincoln McCarthy. He wasted no time making an impact at his new club, winning plenty of ball and hitting the scoreboard. McCarthy also laid the most tackles on the ground. Not many are talking about him yet but he could be a good under the radar option.

ARCHIE SMITH BRISBANE $172,300 RUC

The SuperCoach rucks are a point of debate this year — with many unwilling to spend $1.4m on the Brodie Grundy/Max Gawn double. However, there may be some bench relief in the form of a cheap Lion who is ready to stand tall. Archie Smith is in a battle with Stef Martin for the No. 1 ruck role and he did his chances no harm today. If he keeps this up, Smith could be a solid cash cow option.

JAMES SICILY HAWTHORN $570,400 DEF

Is Alastair Clarkson about to pull a SuperCoach surprise on us? After dominating as a defender in 2018, James Sicily has been swung forward to start the year. While he was dangerous around the goals, his scoring was badly impacted. If this is a permanent move, he may find himself being move out of a lot of teams before Round 1.
