DUSTIN Martin claimed a premiership and just about every medal in the game this year, but Patrick Dangerfield still has bragging rights in one huge area — SuperCoach.

The Geelong superstar is officially the king of SuperCoach after being handed the biggest price tag in the game for next season — a whopping $749,800.

That’s almost $30,000 more than his price at Round 1, 2017 based on a season average of 136 points a game.

Martin comes in second (for a change) with a price of $656,000 after averaging 119 during the home-and-away rounds. It’s worth noting he scored 158, 114 and 151 points in Richmond’s three finals, which aren’t factored into the price calculations.

But we can reveal the top-priced players in each position, and some other eye-catching price tags.

Of the 10 most expensive players, nine are midfielders. The only exception is Carlton defender Sam Docherty, who is priced at $630,700 — fifth overall — but will miss all of next season with a knee injury.

There are a number of new faces in the top 10 including rising stars Josh Kelly, Clayton Oliver and Matt Crouch.

Regulars in recent years such as Scott Pendlebury ($586,500) and Joel Selwood ($562,000) have slipped outside the top 15, but they can’t match the fall from grace of Heath Shaw, who is the 25th-most expensive defender at $458,100, behind Hawk Ryan Burton — a fall of almost $120,000 from his price tag before last season.

No. 1 draft pick Cameron Rayner is expected to play plenty of senior footy in 2018.

No. 1 pick Cameron Rayner is the most expensive draftee. He will set you back $202,800 but at least has dual-position status as a midfielder-forward.

BIG CHANGES: SUPERCOACH 2018 POSITIONS REVEALED

Former AFL-listed players getting another chance to come in with a bargain basement price tag include new Blue Jarrod Garlett ($117,300), Port Adelaide recruit Dom Barry ($117,300) and mature-age Carlton defender Cam O’Shea ($166,000).

Nic Naitanui ($465,900), Cyril Rioli ($317,400), Grant Birchall ($277,100) and Stephen Coniglio ($452,400) have all been given big discounts after missing most or all of last season with injury, and present potential value in SuperCoach next year.
