THERE’S not much the Richmond hierarchy has got wrong over the past couple of years.

The Tigers decided to use this opportunity to correct a lyric in their song so that “risking head and skin” was changed to “risking head and shin”.
But the modernisation of the famous song received mixed reviews from the Richmond faithful and it wasn’t long until an online campaign was launched to bring back the original which was recorded in 1972 by The Fable Singers.
Finally, last Thursday the supporters got their wish.
Without any prior announcement, the Tigers played the original version — with a dubbed change to the “shin” line included — as the team ran onto the MCG for the qualifying final against Hawthorn.
O’Neal admitted the reason for the change had come about because of “popular demand”.
“We have also managed to find a solution that includes the correct lyrics,” O’Neal told a fans forum on the club’s website.
“ We hope that you enjoy the traditional sound.”
