STEVE Johnson has been in incredible form for Greater Western Sydney this season but even he was surprised to be getting a hard tag during his bye week.
The man assigned to the job, none other than former St Kilda stopper and one-time serial pest Steven Baker.
Johnson and Baker added another chapter to their famous rivalry when they caught up for a drink on Friday night.
Baker posted a photo from the night saying, “After nearly 8 years it was round 2 last night!!.
Stevie J VS Steven Baker, both battled hard, but once again Stevie J got the chocolates. #legend #whatanight.
The pair famously squared off back in 2010 when they went toe-to-toe for four quarters as the Cats and Saints clashed in a grand final rematch.
Both players were booked from the clash, with Baker pleading guilty to three charges of striking Johnson and copping a nine-week suspension - ruling him out until the finals. For his part in the clash, Johnson was hit with a three-week ban.
Baker did return to play in both grand finals against Collingwood.
Both players are clearly enjoying each other’s company a lot more now that Baker has, for the most part, hung up his tagging boots.
