RICHMOND midfielder Sam Lloyd is set to play for the Western Bulldogs next year.
The fringe Tiger has cleaned out his locker at Punt Rd and asked the club to trade him to Whitten Oval.
Richmond star Nick Vlastuin said the Tigers would miss Lloyd’s character and leadership.
“Sam won’t be at Richmond, unfortunately,” Lloyd’s manager, Robbie D’Orazio, told the TAB Spring Carnival Launch today.
“I think Tom (Lynch) has just bumped him out of the locker room.

“Sam will probably be wearing the red, white and blue at the Dogs, we hope.
“It’ll get done.”
The Herald Sun revealed in June that the Bulldogs were targeting Lloyd.
Lloyd, 28, will likely cost the Bulldogs a late draft pick.
There is a chance the Bulldogs and Tigers exchange fourth and fifth-round selections to get the deal done.
Lloyd has played 57 games for the Tigers in five seasons but just 15 in the past two years as Richmond surged up the ladder.
The VFL recruit started his AFL career as a forward and famously kicked a clutch goal after the siren to defeat Sydney at the MCG.
But he has been reprogrammed into an inside midfielder in the past two years.
YOUNG SUN SEEKS TRADE
GOLD Coast could lose yet another young talent with Jack Scrimshaw wanting to return to Melbourne.
Scrimshaw, 20, was taken at pick No.7 in the 2016 draft and swiftly committed to the Suns until 2020.
But manager Robbie D’Orazio conformed he was keen to break that contract and start again in Melbourne.
“Jack’s another one that’s contracted for the next two years,” D’Orazio told the TAB Spring Racing Carnival launch.
“Extreme talent, just probably hasn’t fitted in at Gold Coast Suns.
“Not everyone can just move out of home at 18 and just make it work.
“We’re talking to Jack at the moment and Gold Coast and if we can get him home we’ll try.”
The Sandringham Dragons product played four games in 2017 games but none this season.
