NORTH Melbourne will be asked to hand over its No.9 draft pick for Jared Polec, who could be joined by Andrew Gaff at the Kangaroos next year.
Port Adelaide has conceded its offer of three years for Polec will see him join the Roos on a five-year deal worth more than $3.5 million.

But the Power believes if the Roos are so desperate to secure him they will be happy to hand over their first pick.
The Roos need to move on that pick in some way before they are forced to bid for indigenous academy prospect Tarryn Thomas, and could also secure West Coast’s Gaff as a free agent.
If they do not trade out their first-rounder it will be used to secure Thomas, so moving it on allows them a second crack at the elite talent they need to build their list.
The Power believe if fellow Eagle Scott Lycett departs the Eagles they are in the box seat to secure his services.
The free agent has Port Adelaide links, is heavily considering a move to a new club and would secure a four or five-year deal at Power on more than $600,000 a season.
Port Adelaide football boss Chris Davies confirmed the Power had banked $1 million in cap space for this off-season which would give the club flexibility at the trade table.
It means they could land Lycett as a free agent, secure another first-round pick as well as their own, and still have cap space to be aggressive in a trade for more established talent.
The Power will attempt to sign 2019 free agent Chad Wingard over the summer and also has decisions to make on out-of-contract rookies Trent McKenzie, Lindsay Thomas and Jack Trengove, as well as Jimmy Toumpas.
