THE stilettos were thrown off and the ties loosened as the beer flowed freely at the Brownlow after-party.
It didn’t take long for a few best on ground front runners to start emerging in the well-heeled, flesh-baring crowd at the AFL official after-party at Studio 3 inside Crown.
But it was dashing Swan Adam Goodes who took home the title, closely followed by a highly spirited Craig Hutchison and Bulldog Adam Cooney.
The dashing Sydney forward and Brownlow favourite resembled Robin Hood with his merry men - Dan Hannebery, Ben McGlynn and Rhyce Shaw - closely following his every step.
But his loyal followers were nowhere to be seen when Goodes pulled up stumps just before the lights went up, closely flanked by a dolled up mystery blonde.
Like the AFL teams, the after-party quickly split into pockets of players sticking together with their respective WAGs.
Near the bar, St Kilda players Nick Riewoldt, Sam Fisher and Nick Dal Santo were spied huddled at the far end, while North Melbourne players Andrew Swallow, Drew Petrie, Daniel Wells and Brent Harvey were at the other.
Hawthorn players were also enjoying the night, with Luke Hodge, Brad Sewell, Stephen Gilham and Clinton Young mingling in between.
Gold Coast captain Gary Ablett was looking after some of the side's young guns and also having happy snaps with girlfriend Lauren Phillips and Carlton star Marc Murphy.
Richmond captain Chris Newman was also amongst the group of players with stunning fiancee Lauren Poulter.
The Geelong and Collingwood players made a quick dash following the Brownlow presentation, with Nick and Erin Maxwell making a fast getaway quickly followed by Herald Sun best dressed winner Nadia Coppolino and Jimmy Bartel.
Collingwood's fancied vote-getter Scott Pendlebury and girlfriend Alex Davis looked a treat in Versace as they scampered off - and they didn't have to lift a finger. The pair were styled by former LA based fashion consultant Mia Jones.
"It's been a pleasure,'' Davis said. "It was a lot easier and having a stylist definitely helped me save time. We had one fitting and it was done."
While Pendlebury and Davis had a quiet night with a grand final to be played on Saturday, plenty of players kicked on for a good time at the after-party.
