Sam Newman announces his podcast with Grant Thomas and Mike Sheahan has been suspended

The controversial podcast involving Sam Newman, Grant Thomas and Mike Sheahan has been suspended after a key member decided to walk away following last week’s controversy where Newman dressed up as a woman.

The controversial podcast involving football identities Sam Newman, Grant Thomas and Mike Sheahan has been suspended.

Newman posted a video on Twitter on Tuesday night announcing that the ‘Sam, Mike & Thomo’ podcast was having a break after Sheahan decided to walk away following last week’s controversy where Newman dressed up as a woman.

The former Footy Show host appeared in drag and declared he was “transitioning” into a woman.

He was widely blasted on social media with Sheahan caught up in the fallout.

“It has been summarily suspended as a result of me dressing as a woman,” Newman said on his Twitter video.

“Mike Sheahan has felt the heat and jumped into the lifeboat with things getting a bit tepid for him.

“And after several robust discussions with The Beast (Thomas) we have decided to suspend activities forthwith.

“We may be back and we do thank you for listening in the first place for the whole year.

“And as John Doremus (American radio personality) said “Our time is up until we meet again thank you so much and goodbye for now’.”

The trio started the podcast last year and developed a cult following throughout its 49 episodes.
