Richmond premiership player and Tasmanian great Michael Roach is in a desperate health battle after undergoing major surgery and reportedly then suffering complications.

Richmond goal kicking great Michael Roach is in a health fight after suffering a heart attack and undergoing major heart surgery.
Channel 7 reported on Monday night Roach remained in intensive care after suffering a heart attack last Tuesday.
It was reported the 64-year-old initially had a stent inserted, but then required triple bypass surgery.
Roach then experienced some post-surgery complications, according to the report.
Roach played 200 games for Richmond between 1977 and 1989 and was a member of Richmond’s 1980 premiership-winning team.
The star Tigers’ forward was a seven-time leading goalkicker for Richmond — from 1979-81, 1983 and 1985-87.
Roach was a two-time winner of the Coleman Medal in 1980 and 1981.
He was inducted into the Richmond Hall of Fame in 2002.
