HE’s available for a bargain basement price and Carlton recruit Sam Kerridge has made an impressive start to his career in navy blue by top scoring for his team in the loss to Hawthorn.
Many have pencilled in the former Crow into their SuperCoach team and many will be jumping on the bandwagon after he managed 122 points in his first hit-out courtesy of 28 disposals and eight tackles.
Dale Thomas, who’s returning from two injury-plagued seasons at the Blues also began 2016 with a bang, scoring 101 points in the opening NAB Challenge game.
It was the usual suspects who did the job at Hawthorn, with last year’s popular defensive pick Josh Gibson top scoring with 142 points after racking up 26 disposals and taking eight marks.
Grant Birchall also enjoyed a night out with 139 points, while Sam Mitchell showed no signs of slowing down with 139 points and Jordan Lewis 123 points.
Second-year halfback Daniel Howe was the best of the cheaper Hawks, scoring 95 points in his side’s 21-point victory.
