Eddie McGuire is set to be part of a new-look Footy Classified this year.
Former Fremantle coach, Ross Lyon, is also set to join the show which is likely to air two nights a week.
Tim Watson leaked details of the new line-up on his SEN Breakfast radio program, with a coy McGuire responding on his Triple M Hot Breakfast show.
According to Watson, the new show will air in a Wednesday night timeslot, with McGuire hosting alongside Lyon.
“I think he’s going to be a star in the media,’’ Watson said of Lyon.
“He’s doing some work on Triple M and Channel 9... they’ve muscled up their whole Footy Classified. I think they’re going to go on a Wednesday night and Ross Lyon would be sitting beside him (McGuire).”
McGuire, who hosts and commentates with Fox Footy, said an announcement would be made after the Australian Open finishes.
“All will be revealed in good time. Some discussions are going on about everything,’’ he said.
Since The Footy Show was axed last year there has been a void for Nine with Seven’s The Front Bar becoming a ratings hit.
A Wednesday timeslot in addition to Monday night, would avoid a clash.
Chris Judd quit Footy Classified at the end of last season and his replacement is yet to be confirmed.
McGuire’s production company would produce both programs.
Channel 9 said it was too early to confirm any reports.
