Ali Fahour resigned as AFL diversity manager after the Herald Sun published footage of him running towards a melee and striking an unsuspecting opponent.

And then top executives Simon Lethlean and Richard Simkiss stood down after it emerged the pair had “inappropriate relationships with two younger women who work in the AFL industry”.

Who will replace them and does the AFL need to have a good hard look at itself?

Sam Landsberger is unsure whether the AFL would replace Lethlean as football operations boss before the end of the season if his successor comes from a club.

Mick Warner says “there’s an arrogance about the AFL” and it needed to review how it conducted its business.

“I hope that the AFL use the experience of the last three weeks just to have a look internally at themselves,” Mick said.

“I just hope that there’s some reflection, not talking specifically about those two guys who’ve lost their jobs, but just the way they go about themselves.”
