“What about Brad Scott leaves North Melbourne and goes to South Melbourne - Sydney — and the coach of Sydney, John Longmire, comes to North Melbourne?” Herald Sun columnist Jon Anderson said on the SuperFooty Podcast.
Chief football writer Mark Robinson backed the idea, pointing out both coaches had been in their respective jobs for more than a decade and they, and their clubs, could benefit from a fresh voice.
“Brad Scott and NM really love each other, but it may get to the point where they say, ‘You know what, this has been great, we’ve had a great time, thanks Brad, but I think we both have to move on.”
Robinson, Anderson, reporter Lauren Wood and Channel 7 commentator Brian Taylor examine the crisis at Arden St in this week’s episode, name the 2019 coach of the year (so far) anddebate the booing of Gary Ablett, while St Kilda defender Nathan Brown is on the line to talk about the Saints’ hot start and the “gruesome” photos being circulated among the players of skipper Jarryn Geary’s leg injury.
