Jay Rantall smashes 2km time trial record at 2019 AFL Draft Combine
A Victorian turned heads on the final day of testing at the AFL Draft Combine, smashing the 2km time trial record by a staggering 14 seconds.

South Warrnambool product Jay Rantall has made a statement to recruiters by smashing a record at the final day of the AFL Draft Combine.
The former basketballer turned heads after proving his elite endurance by blitzing the field to take out the 2km time trial at the Holden Centre.
Rantall completed the test in 5min50sec, which was a staggering 14 seconds faster than the previous best set by Jacob Kennerley last year.

Hawthorn father-son prospect Finn Maginness, the son of two-time premiership player Scott, finished second just one second behind Rantall.
South Australian Dylan Stephens — a projected first round pick — also beat the original record after finishing third in a time of 6:01.
Rantall also shared the top honours in Thursday's Yo-Yo test with yesterday’s performance rounding off a strong week of testing.
The midfielder was formerly a member of the Australian Institute of Sport's under-18 basketball team before turning his attention to football this year.
