ESSENDON has wasted no time getting active in the 2017 trade period as it chases Gold Coast speedster Adam Saad and talks to the Dogs about trade terms for Jake Stringer.

Bombers list chief Adrian Dodoro and football boss Rob Kerr left the Etihad Stadium trade talks before midday and confirmed a deal was on the table.
