1. ADELAIDE (62pts, 142.1%)

R22 Sydney (AO)

R23 West Coast (S)

JAY CLARK SAYS: The premiership favourite looks set to get two home finals and can rest players from the Round 23 trip to Perth if they want to. Box seat.

2. GWS GIANTS (56, 117.7%)

R22 West Coast (SPO)

R23 Geelong (SS)

JAY CLARK SAYS: Turned it on against the Dogs in the third term on Friday night but an unsuccessful trip to the Cattery in the last round could take the wind from their sails on the eve of finals.

3. GEELONG 54, 115.4%

R22 Collingwood (MCG)

R23 GWS Giants (SS)

JAY CLARK SAYS: Huge win over Richmond has got us believing again. If Steve Motlop can keep that form going the Cats grow another leg in the midfield. Mitch Duncan returns this week.

4. RICHMOND 52, 110.5%

R22 Fremantle (S)

R23 St Kilda (MCG)

JAY CLARK SAYS: Have lost Josh Caddy to a hamstring injury, which is a blow to the mid-sized forward setup. Still, should start favourite in both games and lock down a top-four spot. .

5. SYDNEY (48, 123.7%)

R22 Adelaide (AO)

R23 Carlton (SCG)

JAY CLARK SAYS: Would love to win their last two games, sneak into the top four and take on the Giants at Spotless Stadium for a preliminary final berth. Destroyed Freo on Saturday.

6. PORT ADELAIDE (48, 123.2%)

R22 W Bulldogs (Ballarat)

R23 Gold Coast (AO)

JAY CLARK SAYS: It’s a 50-50 proposition this week against the Dogs, but should romp it in against the Suns. But it’s hard to trust Port away from Adelaide. Impossible, actually.

7. MELBOURNE (44, 106%)

R22 Brisbane Lions (MCG)

R23 Collingwood (MCG)

JAY CLARK SAYS: Regained the hard edge yesterday and should win their next two games, with Jack Watts to come back into the side. Finals would be a big tick for the year.

8. WEST COAST (44, 105.7%)

R22 GWS Giants (SPO)

R23 Adelaide (S)

JAY CLARK SAYS: They looked unconvincing again on Saturday night. Short odds to be knocked out in the first weekend of September, if they make it.

The Bulldogs just aren’t the same team as the premiership-winning 2016 model.

9. WESTERN BULLDOGS (44, 98.3%)

R22 Port Adelaide (Ballarat)

R23 Hawthorn (ES)

JAY CLARK SAYS: Finals hopes hanging by a knife’s edge now. Just not the same side as last year and desperately need to reinforce the defensive end.

10. ESSENDON (40, 104.5%)

R22 Gold Coast (MS)

R23 Fremantle (ES)

JAY CLARK SAYS: Energy levels should be high at Tullamarine this week. Can still play finals if they can knock off the besieged Suns without Tom Lynch. Fire up, Woosha.

A friendly draw keeps Cale Hooker and Essendon in the finals race.

11. ST KILDA (40, 96.1%)

R22 North Melbourne (ES)

R23 Richmond (MCG)

JAY CLARK SAYS: Their low percentage means they’re unlikely to make it from here. Not sure Saints fans will be thrilled with the progress this season. Just OK, 2017.

12. HAWTHORN (38, 89.8%)

R22 Carlton (ES)

R23 Western Bulldogs (ES)

JAY CLARK SAYS: Still mathematically possible, but won’t happen.
