Fremantle has confirmed its interest in trying to poach top free agent Stephen Coniglio back to his home state at the end of the season.
Speaking on Perth radio on Tuesday night, Dockers chief executive Steve Rosich said Coniglio was an “obvious target” for a number of clubs and that he was keen to meet with his manager.
“There’s lots of good players out there who we think have the capability to fit into our list,” Rosich said on 6PR.

“We’ve still got a very young list. I think Michael Walters quite proudly says he’s our fifth-oldest player on our list now at 28.
“So we’ve got a real underbelly of young players all the way through. We think we can continue to add to that, not only via the draft, but by players from other teams.
“You mentioned Stephen — he’s an obvious target for clubs.
“He’s at a good club and he’s a young West Australian free agent.
“So I’d be negligent if I didn’t have a coffee with (agent) Tom Petroro.”
The Dockers were highly active during last year’s trade period, securing Melbourne forward Jesse Hogan and GWS ruckman Rory Lobb.
However, they did lose star midfielder Lachie Neale.
Since being drafted with the No. 2 pick in 2011, Coniglio has been one of the Giants’ most consistent performers.
He finished fourth in the club’s best and fairest count last year.
Coniglio is the biggest name on this year’s free agent list, which also includes Todd Goldstein, Stephen Hill, Adam Tomlinson and Shane Edwards.
