Former St Kilda forward Arryn Siposs chases NFL punting dream
FORMER former St Kilda forward Arryn Siposs has earned his first tick on the road to an NFL punting career, but one Aussie already in the US says the hard work is about to start.

ARIZONA State punter Michael Sleep-Dalton is excited to welcome another Aussie to the US college punting ranks, with former St Kilda forward Arryn Siposs setting his sights on the NFL.
Siposs, who played 28 games across five seasons with the Saints, has been awarded a three-year scholarship with Auburn University in the USA.
“It’s big time, great news for him,” Sleep-Dalton told the Herald Sun.
“Receiving a scholarship is such an amazing achievement, but getting it is just the first step.
“Once the winter running is over and the pads and helmets come out for spring ball, that is where the hard work starts.
“There’s going to be a lot of ups and downs and it’s how you respond.
“This game tests you both mentally and physically.”
Siposs had been juggling commitments with VFL club Williamstown while learning to punt under Nathan Chapman at ProKick Australia — Sleep-Dalton’s mentor.
And while, at 25, he still had hopes of a second chance in the AFL, the dream of an NFL career made the opportunity too good to pass up.
“I highly recommend it to guys who might have had their AFL careers cut short for whatever reason,” Siposs told AFL.com.au.
“The way we kick the footy, compared to other sports it’s quite unique and we can use that to our advantage in terms of the punting side of things which is awesome.”
Siposs will make the move in the middle of next year, in time for the 2018-19 season.
“If I’m going to go over I want to make it to the top level,” he said.
“Whether or not that works out is another story, but I want to go over there and do as well as I possibly can and see what happens.”
