DEATH, taxes and Dave Hughes copping it on social media for his Footy Show performances are the three certainties in life.
The Melbourne comedian’s reduced role on the Footy Show on Thursday night hasn’t saved him from the wrath of fans, who have, once again, taken to Twitter to call for his axing.
Hughesy was a rare sighting, with his segment ‘Back to the Twos’, where he gives out a few whacks to AFL personalities throughout the week, his only feature.
This week he whacked coaches Alastair Clarkson and John Longmire and social media reacted in kind.

Andy Lee’s appearance on the show didn’t help his cause, with some fans calling for the handsome funnyman to replace him:
