The league summoned clubs to Marvel Stadium for a mock run of how the technology will work at Thursday night’s revamped talent count.

But at about pick 31 the computer system crashed and clubs were sent home.
A club was matching a father-son bid when the technology started to fail.

Clubs were throwing in unrealistic bids and selections during the trial run.
AFL officials were left scratching their heads with less than 24 hours to get it right for the televised draft meeting.
It is believed an AFL official pulled a cord out by accident, triggering the fault.
