Carlton veteran Kade Simpson is not ruling out playing on beyond next year as the defender shows no signs of slowing down.
Simpson, who turns 35 next May, is one of just three players over the age of 30 on the Blues’ list and is more than three years older than the next oldest player in Dale Thomas, who turns 32 next June.
But the 307-game veteran said while he was “feeling older and older” as more youth pours into the club he believed he still had plenty to offer, potentially beyond his current contract which expires next year.

QUESTIONS: WHO’S OUT TO PROVE A POINT?
“I don’t really want to put a limit on it,” Simpson said.
“I think guys can go in and say this is going to be their last year. I don’t want to do that. I’ll play as long as the body and the mind holds up and Bolts (coach Brendon Bolton) has always said to me as soon as you walk through the door if you’re playing good footy and still got something to offer there’ll always be a spot for me.”
