The buzzcut is back for Tiger fans eager to emulate the stylings of superstar Dustin Martin.
And the barber where the man himself gets his hair cut is holding a ‘Dusty-cut-a-thon’ for charity.
True Barber in Elwood, which counts Martin and other footy players as regulars, is offering the distinctive hairdo for $35 on Thursday night, with proceeds to The Alannah and Madeleine foundation supporting children who have experienced or witnessed domestic violence.
Barber Grace Emma said the streamlined style made famous by Martin was a popular request from Richmond fans of all ages.
“We have three-year-olds coming in getting the Dusty cuts. They’re always very happy with it,” she said.
“You get so many people asking for it, especially in the lead-up to games, so we thought we may as well do it for a good cause.”
She said Martin kept up his own rigorous haircut routine, popping in two or three times a week for a tidy up.
Other players to stop by the barbers were Scott Pendlebury, Jeremy Howe, Mabior Chol, Dan Hannebery, Jack Steele and Rowan Marshall.
Customer Chris McMullan was sporting the freshly-shorn Dusty haircut and said he would be cheering for Richmond in the Grand Final.

But the Collingwood fan stressed he went under the clippers more in support of charity than out of love for the Tigers.
“It’s for a good cause,” he said.
“I’ll probably get in trouble with the girlfriend but what can you do.”
The charity event includes snacks and drinks and runs from 5pm to 9pm at True Barbers, 60 Ormond Rd.
