THE AFL will discuss Etihad Stadium’s LED signage on Monday following an incident where Patrick Dangerfield appeared to cut his knee after crashing into the boundary fence on Friday night.
Dangerfield is the latest player to fall victim to lit signage, with Jack Ziebell cutting his knees at GMHBA Stadium earlier this year and Zach Tuohy and Mark Blicavs suffering cuts to their hands at the new stadium in Perth.

Blicavs required 14 stitches in his hands.
The Perth stadium signs have since been covered with perspex, while in Geelong the boundary will be brought in half a metre so play is further away from the signage and there’s a greater run off area for the players.
All venue signage has been assessed.
The Etihad Stadium signs have been in place for about four or five years.
“Yes, we’ll have the discussion on Monday, I can’t answer whether anything will change or not,” an AFL spokesman said.
“The boundary will come in by half a metre (at Geelong).”
