Collingwood and West Coast players were greeted by thousands of fans for today’s Grand Final Parade, with black and white as far as the eye could see.

However, the biggest news came via Eagles coach Adam Simpson, who gave an update on Jeremy McGovern’s health. Simpson stopped short of guaranteeing McGovern would play in Saturday’s decider.

McGovern hurt his hip in last weekend’s preliminary final win against Melbourne but Simpson says he must pass a fitness at training on Friday in Melbourne. “I don’t know if I’m extremely confident, I’m hopeful,” Simpson told reporters.
