THE 2017 AFL Grand Final will be held at the MCG at 2.30pm on Saturday, September 30.
The league considered a later time to stage a twilight decider, but opted against the move in March for at least one more season as Adelaide and Richmond face off for the premiership cup for the first time.
The entertainment has also been announced with The Killers, Dami Im and Mike Brady set to perform.
The Killers will also perform at the after-match concert on the MCG. Fans can enjoy the free performance from 6pm-8pm - access if via MCG gates 4, 5 and 6.

“After taking in all the feedback from the widespread debate in recent weeks, it was the recommendation to the commission that there was still not a compelling reason to alter the start time for the high point to our season,” the AFL said in a statement regarding the Grand Final date and time.
The annual Grand Final parade will be held in the streets of Melbourne on Friday, September 29 — a public holiday in Victoria.
The Grand Final will be shown live and free-to-air on Channel 7.
The game has been held at the MCG in all but nine years since the VFL started in 1896.
