WEST Coast captain Shannon Hurn says the Eagles fan who tried to set a Dockers jersey alight after Sunday’s western derby went too far with his celebrations.
A video has emerged of an Eagles fan holding up a Dockers jersey and trying to set it on fire with his lighter. The incident happened soon after the game, and was in the area just within the stadium gates. He was captured on video yelling “f*** you Dockers”. Fans walking nearby called the man an idiot. And a woman who was a Fremantle supporter tried to snatch the jersey away from the man. When he resisted, she tried to hit him with her rolled-up footy program. Hurn said the man’s actions weren’t a great look. “You always want your fans to be excited and support you. But it probably is a bit too far,” Hurn said of the incident. AFL betting promo “Ideally it’s not great. “People get excited, get pretty happy, so it’s just about trying to make sure people do the right thing pretty much. “Sometimes that just happens.
