NATHAN Fyfe remains the Brownlow Medal favourite after he was cleared by the Match Review Panel this afternoon.

However, support continues to come for West Coast midfielder Matt Priddis.

Should Fyfe have been suspended, Tabcorp was poised to reopen its market with Priddis as the new favourite.

Fyfe was the $1.75 favourite going into Round 21, but significant money has come for Priddis and North Melbourne ruckman Todd Goldstein over the past month.

Is Nat Fyfe in trouble?

Priddis, the 2014 winner, has come in from $11 at Round 15 to $4, while Goldstein’s role in North’s seven-game winning streak saw the ruckman’s odds shorten from $21 to $4.50.

“Even before the weekend, punters have been off Fyfe for a while. He was as short as $1.40 a month ago, but even if he gets out he will be out to $1.75 with Priddis and Goldstein attracting more bets in the last month than Fyfe,” Taborp’s Shaun Anderson said.

After a blistering start to the season, injury and form struggles means Fyfe is unlikely to have polled a vote since the Dockers Round 14 win over Brisbane.

Meanwhile, Priddis continues to win more of the ball than his Brownlow-winning season and trails Fyfe by just four votes in Fox Footy’s player of the year award.

Goldstein is averaging more Champion Data ranking points than any other player in the competition and his finish to the season has arguably been as good as Fyfe’s start.

One punter believes Patrick Dangerfield will salute in what could be his final season at Adelaide, investing $400 on the Crows superstar in the middle of July at $34.
