VETERAN Western Bulldogs defender Matthew Boyd has signed a one-year contract extension at the club, ensuring he will play on into a 15th season.
Boyd, who won All-Australian honours as the Bulldogs lifted the premiership in 2016, played 24 games for the club throughout the year and excelled off half-back.
“Matthew Boyd has been an extraordinary servant to our club for many years,” Bulldogs list manager Jason McCartney said in a statement.

“To contribute the way he did in his 14th season, is testament to his hard work and professionalism.
“We’re really pleased Matthew will continue playing with us in 2017.”
Boyd has played 282 games for the Bulldogs since being recruited to the club in 2001.
