IT may have come a week too late for Adam Goodes, but this weekend the stars of the AFL will speak directly to fans in a bid to curb abusive behavior in the game's crowds.

Swans star Kieren Jack and Brownlow medallist Jobe Watson will deliver a message via video on the scoreboard to the SCG faithful calling on patrons to not cross the line in their barracking.

"It's not just about racism, it's all forms of offensive behaviour," Jack told the Daily Telegraph.

"We want to get the message across to the fans it won't be tolerated.

"We respect the opposition on the field and the fans need to respect the players at all times."

The AFL have almost eradicated racial abuse between players now they are turning their attention to fans
Jack's message will be this.

"Make sure you enjoy the game. Barrack for us with passion.

"But please do it in the right spirit.

"We respect our opponents on the field and I'm sure you guys will too."

The message signing off with the line.

"Cheer your heart out but always do it with respect."

Jack also called on fans to notify security if they see or hear offensive behaviour from other spectators.

"If fans see it they should report it.

"We want it to be a safe and friendly environment for kids and families.

"It will be a better environment for everyone.''

"We want people of come to the game and show their passion and scream at the top of the lungs, but do it in the right fashion."

Jack and his teammates have had to deal with the repercussions of racial abuse levelled at Adam Goodes this week.

"It's been difficult to see Goodsey's run down and tired," Jack said.

"He has been a bit flat and understandably so, training was good for him.

"He trained well and it was like a weight off his shoulders.

"There would be nothing better after the week he's had for us to go out and get a win on Saturday afternoon."

Tom Scully from the Giants and Marc Murphy will deliver a similar message at Etihad Stadium as will Indigenous star Cyril Rioli at the Hawks game at the MCG tomorrow.
