Collingwood star Jordan De Goey will plead guilty to driving offences, a court has heard.
The Magpies forward appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Thursday via videolink, where his lawyer Zoya Tvarkovski said the matter had “resolved”.
De Goey wore a grey beanie, white T-shirt and Airpod headphones for the hearing, with the name Jordy on the bottom of his screen.
The 25-year-old had been charged with driving while his licence was suspended, and using a mobile phone while the car was “stationary but not parked”, on Punt Road in South Yarra on July 6, 2019.
He was also charged with failing to hand in his licence after it was suspended in April 2019, and riding a motorbike without a helmet and without P plates displayed on February 13, 2020, on Alexandra Avenue in Melbourne.
The hearing was adjourned for a formal plea of guilty on September 3.
Since being charged with those offences De Goey has also been charged with speeding, driving without P plates, and driving a probationary prohibited vehicle by police in Moorabbin, which will also be heard on September 3.
The driving charges are unrelated to the other matter De Goey has before the courts, a sexual offence he is fighting.
Police allege he and another man, Joel Edginton, indecently assaulted a woman at a location in Kew on June 21, 2015, which both men deny.
They will next appear for that matter on August 9.
