JACK Watts will spend the coming days wrestling with a three-state decision over where to take his career.
The Melbourne outcast was on Tuesday greeted by Cats royalty at Simonds Stadium where he was given a tour of the club’s new facilities.
Watts, 26, met with Geelong superstar Patrick Dangerfield, coach Chris Scott and club staff for a meet and greet.

It has presented the maligned forward with potentially three clubs to choose from before the end of the trade period.
Port Adelaide is privately very confident Watts will accept their offer to move across the South Australian border. Sydney, while less likely due to a salary cap squeeze, are also in the mix.
Watts was given a rousing reception at the Demons best-and-fairest on Monday night. Midway through Clayton Oliver’s acceptance speech he was asked a question on social media about how Melbourne can make finals next season.
When a fan yelled out “Jack Watts” the crowd broke into cheer.
Watts, the 2008 No.1 draft pick, wanted to stay at Melbourne and was hurt by its decision to part ways, but has since come to terms with moving on and the possibility of an interstate relocation.
“I don’t think it was ideal. One minute he’s getting ready to play football at Melbourne and the next I’m telling him he should look at his options,” his manager, Paul Connors said.
“It comes pretty quickly, the trade period, and his whole life might just turn upside down, but that’s football and the industry we’re in at the moment.”
Connors, speaking on SEN, said Watts had been unfairly judged.
The versatile tall rates “elite” for forward pressure and this year had the AFL’s second-highest retention rate for kicks inside 50m. He’s also an excellent kick and wins rave reviews for his decision-making.
“Jack never shies from the things he needs to get better at, but it’s about relationships. He’s happy to acknowledge when he doesn’t do something well, but it would be nice when someone acknowledges the things that he does well,” Connors said.
Former Melbourne coach Paul Roos has said it would be a “big mistake” for the Demons to trade Watts, saying there was an obsession with his weaknesses.
The Watts-Geelong meeting comes with the Cats waiting to hear who free agent Steven Motlop names as his club of choice.
Adelaide has presented a lucrative deal, while Port Adelaide and Gold Coast want his services.
On Tuesday, Motlop flew home to Darwin to make a decision with his family after being left “very impressed” by the Crows sales pitch.
The Cats are also trying to clear room for the return of favourite son, Gary Ablett.
